INTERACT consortium at the project meeting in Gliwice, Poland, in September 2016
Roles in the project
Technische Universität Dortmund (DE) - Laboratory of Fluid Separations
Role in the project: Technische Universität Dortmund (TUDO) coordinates
the project. It's Laboratory of Fluid Separations takes the scientific
and technical lead of the project. Furthermore it is the leader of the
work package on absorption in columns and will contribute on the
characterization and testing of enzymatic absorption as well as
absorption in membrane contactors.
Technische Universität Dortmund (DE) - European Project Office
The European Project Office of TUDO is responsible for administrative
project management comprising communication, organisation, controlling.
It acts as leader of the WP on dissemination and exploitation of project
results.
Technical University of Denmark (DK) - Center of Process Engineering and Technology
The Center of Process Engineering and Technology (PROCESS) leads WP2.
It has a wealth of experience in enzyme catalysis and contributes to the
work testing the enzymes in a pilot scale absorber equipment.
Technical University of Denmark (DK) - Center for Energy and Resource Engineering
The Center for Energy and Resource Engineering (CERE) has a wealth of experience in CO2
capture using absorption technologies with different solvents. Together
with PROCESS, CERE contributes mainly to the work testing the enzymes
in an absorber at pilot scale.
IK4-CIDETEC Research Alliance (ES)
IK4-CIDETEC is responsible for the synthesis and characterization of
dense and highly porous poly(ionic liquid)s focusing on the use of
porous templates and the functionalization of nanoparticles and fibers.
Solvionic AS (FR)
Solvionic works on the synthesis of ILs, ILs monomers and their polymerization:
1) selection of the best available ILs according to requirements and delivery to partners;
2) synthesis of new ILs according to feedback from partners – delivery to partners;
3) scale up from the laboratory scale to pilot plant scale.
Institute of Chemical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PL)
ICE-PAS performs gravimetric studies on adsorption/desorption
equilibria. It is involved in WP3 concerning the modelling of gas
separation in gas membrane. Within WP7 a theoretical analysis of a
prospective PSA process using PILs as adsorbent is done.
Stiftelsen SINTEF - Department of Energy Conversion and Materials (NO)
SINTEF is leader of WP5 concerning membrane contactors. The main focus
is on selection and coating of suitable membrane materials with
poly(ionic liquid) and the preparation of suitable membrane modules in
both WP 3 and 5. In addition, SINTEF develops the setup for membrane
contactor test unit and carries out mixed gas permeation tests.
Katholieke Universiteit Leuven - Centre for Surface Chemistry and Catalysis (BE)
The membrane technology group is involved in the preparation of stable
supports to prepare gas separation membranes based on polymerised ILs by
coating these on top.
SUPREN GmbH (DE)
SUPREN is leader of the work package on process integration and scale
up as well as techno-economic evaluation incl. LCA. Furthermore SUPREN
is responsible for setting-up the maintaining the webpages of the
project.
Fundacion PRODINTEC (ES)
PROD is involved in WP5, 6 and 7 regarding membranes support design and
fabrication, process integration and scale-up concept analysis and LCA
performance. It is also involved in WP9 collaborating both in
dissemination and exploitation activities.
Novozymes North America Inc. (North Carolina, US) and Novozymes A/S (DK)
NOVO works closely with DTU-PROCESS on the characterization, selection
of suitable solvents and membranes as well as performance testing of
enzyme technologies to understand the principles behind the enzyme
activated absorption/desorption processing. Besides, assistance with
respect to modelling, economics and LCA on enzyme systems is given.
