Consortium / Technical University of Denmark (DK)

The Center of Process Engineering and Technology (PROCESS) is led by Prof John Woodley. The group has around 35 members and has a major focus of enzyme based catalysis from high value to low value products. The group has been responsible for the discovery and implementation of several new biocatalytic processes in industry, including e.g. enzymatic biodiesel. The emphasis of the group is on process engineering and rapid implementation of the enzymatic processes in industry. Hence, the group works very closely with around 25 industrial partners form all around the world. The group has laboratories as well as enzyme based pilot plant equipment, some of the only such equipment in Europe. In this project this enzyme experience will be used to assist in the development and testing of the enzymatic enhancement of CO2 absorption/desorption.
